About The Founder
CEO & Founder.
Chris is happily partnered to Greg. They have been together just over 20 years, having met in the Admiral Duncan Pub in Soho, (where Chris survived the fatal bombing in 1999), of which 10 years have been in a Civil Partnership.
They currently reside in the beautiful county of Berkshire, allowing Greg easy access into London for work, and allowing Chris easy access to the many Counties that surround them.
In 2019, Chris was diagnosed at the ripe old age of 51 as having HF Autism. This is a Mental Disabilty, and Chris is still trying to get to grips with this. It does explain why, when we travel, Chris isn’t keen to visit anywhere that might have large crowds or too much noise. This is one of the key factors in his decision to ensure that, within the LGBT Travel Club UK, ‘Everyone Is Welcome’, which is out motto.
Finally, one of the key factors when designing and building this site (which he did himself as Amery Designs), was to try and encourage both LGBTQ+ Travellers and UK based Businesses within the Travel Sector, to come together, work together, share information, and help make travelling for anyone who identifies as LGBTQ+ safe, fun and Homophobic free.
